Our Starting Point

We recently took a quick break from the studio and travelled by train and several buses to visit Scotland and the Mill where we source our beautiful yarn...the starting point of everything that we do!

Nestled on the banks of Loch Leven, the Mill combines almost 150 years of tradition and craftsmanship with the finest quality cashmere and lamb's wool fibre and the purity of the Scottish water to produce some of the best yarn in the world. We were privileged to be shown around and witness some of the manufacturing process where they blend modern technology with the traditional skill of the eye, nurtured over years of training and skills passed down through generations.

Perhaps one of the most exciting parts of our visit was the sneak peak into their archives where we were astounded by the wall of colour. It would be a designers dream to have access to this many shades of colour. We returned to London with shade cards of this year's latest colours and can't wait to get designing for our new Autumn 2017 collection.
